It’s been a very long day and tomorrow will be even longer. We’re very full of good food, plentiful drink and copious cigars. We’re off to bed, wishing a safe end to a shitty year, and hoping that the next one will be better.

With pork pie, scotch egg, beef pasty, cocktail sausage, olive, pickled onion, pickles slice, chicken drumstick, celery and mixed with a lamb leg bone.
We forgot to instagram it! Granddad paid it the highest compliment, he said it was so nice, he forgot to drink his wine!
(As a side note, it was a vegetarian leg of lamb marinated in fennel and lemon, with the usual sides, and some braised red cabbage)

Katy and I went for movies and burgers for our date day. We saw Fantastic Beasts (ok) and Passengers (good!). Both Katy and I have a crush on JLaw.

Bobble was ambitious and tried to stare down a burger bigger than he was.
Then he tried to do the same thing to a giant Christmas hot chocolate.
Surprisingly, he got everything down. Don’t know where he puts it.

To say that Katy and her dad are competitive would be a slight understatement…
Bobble has all of the essentials sorted for his movie experience!
We’d planned to go bowling today. Even Bobble got into the action (and bowled better than I did) but we only played one game because Bean got seduced by the arcades. We didn’t manage to get it on camera, but grandma was channeling D’André in her post-bowling ball release posture.
