That's an understatement. I didn't sleep last night. A bunch of little worries, job, finances, love life, apartment and a partridge in a pear tree, conspired to make me so tense that I woke up at every moment of the night. So wound up was I this morning that I had to take advil to get rid of the knot in my back and shoulders. I really need to look into a place that offers shiatzu at a reasonable price. So anyway, since I didn't have anything mission-critical at work today, I decided it would be better to stay here and catch up on my sleep than go to the office and be a zombie all day.

Even then, I did get some work done today. A client called for a meeting on wednesday, I got caught up on some email and I put the last touches that I could on a document I'm working on. That was secondary to the main goal of taking a few naps on my futon. It's getting old, but it's still surprisingly comfy.

In the afternoon, I watched some muppets episodes, chatted a bit, and basically did nothing. Put my brain on pause. It felt good.

Heehee, it's been a while since I spent a night like this. I just spent the last 5 hours chatting online. A big chunk of that was with Nw. I swear, my god, the woman has the loveliest eyes I've ever seen. She was on her webcam for a good portion of the chat, and it was so funny. I could see her reactions to my posts. She's so… alive. For a while, when we were talking about her panties, I was making up the most outlandish shit, just to see her laugh. She has facial expressions that really convey emotion, and most of it is bubbly, contagious laughter.

I've told her once, and I'll probably do so again, but she's as close to the perfect woman for me that I've met in a long time. She's a bright, beautiful, cynical redhead with beautiful eyes. She's also stubborn, neurotic and has troubles with her self-esteem, yet she still manages to pull all of that in an endearing way. There's only one small detail that needs to be addressed: she's not attracted to me (she told me). The devil is always in the details :P

Oh well, for now, I can still flirt with her. It's really fun, as we both know that it's only light teasing with no emotional attachment on either part (except a bit of lust for me – the woman is gorgeous). I think she could well become another Sparrow. It's really easy to talk to her, and I like that. A lot.

After that, I talked a half-hour with a new person from LL, so we'll see where that leads.

On that note, I'm off to bed. Good night.

I slept very badly last night. That's an understatement. I didn't sleep last night.
