I just found out that my first month's rent will be reduced by a third. Since I'm taking posession of the apartment on the 11th of april, they're pro-rating my rent from to (You'd assume that since it's 2\/3 of a month, it'd be but no. The amount owing is worked out on a calendar month basis. The 11th to 30th April is 20 days inclusive and the amount owing would therefore be 750 x 12 divide by 365 x 20). Makes perfect sense. Ya. Anyway, The paperwork will be sent off in the next few days.<\/p>\n

<\/font>I have just received a call from the British High Commission. At 8:45 on the first day back from a 4-day weekend. Hell must be getting nippy! Thank you loverly lady on the phone!! They confirm that I do not need any special stamp or paperwork. I simply need to get my ass to Heathrow with my passport and my appointment papers to the EMBL and I just mosey on through immigration. <\/p>\n
