20 Jan Happy belated new year! I just got my commission back from Ruthe and The Kidd. This is

me
I'm sooooo happy about how it turned out. You rock guys!

14 Dec So guess what? I finally made a new cover. I received a request from a very talented artist named Claidis, who sent a wonderful pic that got my creative juices flowing after a prolonged period of sitting on my ass. You can see it here. I'm doubly happy because another volume is now completed :) YAY.

04 Dec Non-playfur related news, i now blog. More seriously than the pseudo-blog I had here. Go see my blog. Do it! Do it now :) Oh, and what else? How about 40,000 visits!. That's not hits, that's 40K visitors to the site in the past year. In hits, that's roughly 1.5 million hits since december 2002 (or 30GB of bandwidth). WOOHOO!

07 Nov: Yoodles, all my faithful yet frustrated fans. A new cover is out, by Ramires. A great artist who does vibrant work. Go see it. Life is bleh right now. Too much work, too little play. I need to get out more. I'm having my fursona drawn right now. As soon as it's done, I'll post it online for y'all to see.

08 Oct: The ferret goes POING! A new cover for Gloril, the ferret from Vixine. See it here. I shut down the cafepress store - nobody seemed to be ordering stuff and it was costing me money to keey it open :(

27 Sept: I'M ON VACATION! WOOT! Also, I added the new Scarlett cover. She said yes on the same day I asked, but I was busy (and a bit of a lazybones). I'd like to take a moment to publicly thank Valorie Ruthe for coloring this piece. You, me dear, are a great lady :)

23 Sept: I'm really starting to lose it. I need a vacation, or I'll blow a gasket. I'm trying to find a quiet place to relax, with a good friend to share some fun. So far, my luck isn't panning out. Eh. Sucks to be me. Some good news your you fans out there though, two new covers. These are the first I've been able to finish in over a month. Good thing though, the big project that's been monopolizing my time is almost done, so I'll be able to put more time back into my covers; which I believe will please a few of you :P In the mean time, here's one of the covers: a lab rat from Doug Winger. The second will be up as soon as I get the OK from Scarlett.

27 Aug: Two new covers up, both from Max BlackRabbit. I'm really happy because I finally finished volume 3 with A Ziggy Xmas. The other one is from a nice little skunkette named Marissa.

26 Aug: Well, I'm working like an idiot for work, but my number one fan made me an offer I couldn't (and didn't want to) refuse. As such, I'm going to try and get back to making covers. Here's one that I just finished last night, and I'm really happy how it turned out, though it took me quite a lot of time to finally get everything how I wanted. It's from Bridget Wilde.

18 Aug: Here's a quickie. A new cover by Steven Swanson, based on Nick Hardin's Jewel vixens. Go have a look here.

14 Aug: Sorry for the delay folks, but real life has been keeping me way too busy, and it's not going to get any better any time soon. I so need a vaction, it's not funny anymore. I did manage to finish a cover, by a lovely lass called Diana Kellogg. A few others are done, but still awaiting approval.

31 July: Started another volume, the the cover will be uploaded soon - it's on my laptop, that's unfortunately still at work.

30 July: Added a blog. Also added another cover by Bridget Wilde.

28 July: By popular demand, PLAYFUR MERCHANDISE is now available. Yes fems and mels, official Playfur merchandise is now available. T-Shirts, boxers, mousepads, mugs, all that goos stuff. It's being sold through CafePress.com. The merchandise isn't quite all up yet, plain logo stuff will still be added in the following days, but go have a peek :) Buy stuff :) Profits I make will go towards buying a new sketching pad to make more covers :P

27 July: Man, I'm on fire. I beat my personal best again, this time doing 4 covers in 24 hours. Unfortunately, 3 of those are for private consumption, but I felt bad for my loyal public and did one for you guys as well. It's from Bridget Wilde, and you can see the cover here. You might see a few more from Lady Wilde in the near future.

22 July: As promised, loyal fans, one of the new covers is up. It's from Scarlett, of Scarlett's Erotic Guild. Go have a look, there's a lot of geart art there!

21 July: Hot damn! I beat my personal best and did 4 covers in one weekend. Unfortunately, these were a personal special request, and won't make it into the general display area. You might have noticed a new private section that was added over the weekend. This is where I'll keep stuff that, for whatever reason, I can't or won't make available to the general public. Please, don't ask for access. If you don't already have access to it, chances are you won't. There are, however, 3 new covers that are just waiting for final approval before going online, so be patient and you'll get some new stuff shortly :)

19 July: Great googlymoogly! I knew you people liked playfur, but this is nuts :) The counter you see at the bottom of the page indicates how many poeple have visited the website since its inception. The way it is setup, if a visitor looks at multiple pages during a visit, the counter is only increased by 1, even if he or she looks at multiple pages. Anyway, that's not important. What is important are the overall numbers. According to my log tracker, 25 GB! worth of bandwidth has been used up since august of last year. That's over 1.3 MILLION HITS!!! Thank god I'm not paying for bandwidth :P

15 July: More cover goodness, with the May 2006 Sara Vixen cover, by Jeremy Mullins. Also, I cleaned up and updated the Article Tagline page, that lists all the taglines that have been used so far, as well as a simple form to suggest a tagline. Feel free to use it, but please look to see if something similar hasn't been used before. Play nice :)

09 July: Heya folks. New cover out, a special request for Betty the Bat. I have 3 other covers in various stages of completion, so come back shortly for more.

30 June 2003: WOOHOO! The project I'm working on at work is DONE! I've MOVED into my new apartment. The renovations are FINISHED. What does that mean? I have time to do covers again :) To celebrate the occasion, I did a very special request for a fan, Kimberly the Tiger-Striped Vixen, who also happens to have 2 yahoo groups dedicated to her: The fox and vixen's hole and Kimberly Vixen's Den of Lust and Sin. Go have a look :)

09 June 2003: For those of you who are having problems accessing the website, that's because our ISP is acting wonky these days. It's beyond my control and, since I don't pay a dime to have this website hosted, I can't complain too loudly :).

08 June 2003: Hot damn, I'm on a roll. I added 4 new covers this weekend. Let's just say I had a really, really big incentive to get these done. I had to add a new volume, and I decided to add a bit more colour to the website, so you'll notice the new buttons on the left. So, now for the important stuff, the covers. You can start by having a gander at the January 2004 Beer Lady or the alternate version, without the text and nicer beer labels here. Thanks Tamar! Then, for your viewing pleasure, may I recommend the Surfer Grrrl from XianJaguar, who's always really, really kind to send high-res versions for me to play with. Finally, we have a new species I've never done before, the Kangaroo, graciously offered by Flinthoof. Enjoy! Oh, and note that these will have to last you for a little while, I'm getting ready to move in 2 weeks, so I need to pack my life away in boxes :)

03 June 2003: Yay, two more covers. Actually, they're both a alternate versions of the Nov 2005 cover. I couldn't decide if I preferred the Zen waterfall or Japanese garden brigde version, so I put both online. I'm not paying for disk space, so hey, why worry? These covers are dedicated to a special vixen, who got me to find time to make covers again :)

26 May 2003: Woot! Two new covers, kinda. One is the August 2005 (XianJaguar) cover. The other, well, I wan't really satisfied with the first airbrusing I did of Doug Winger's Sept. 2005 cover, so I re-did it. I like it, but I'm not sure if I prefer the original t-shirt caption, so I left the original intact as an alternate version, which is here.

18 May 2003: Yes, I'm still alive. Between a recent emergency appendectomy, bad deadlines at work, the winter blahs, an upcoming moving day and a ton of other crap, I haven't had time to do anything about the covers I'd been working on before all hell broke loose. To those people who have asked for custom covers, rest assured, they're on my ToDo list and will get done! In the next few days, I'll be uploading two new covers for certain, and maybe even two more after those, as soon as I get the OK from the concerned artists. I hope things will settle down a bit so that I can start making new stuff soon, I'll keep you all posted :) And I also noticed that the logs say that Playfur.ca averages something like 4000 pageviews a month! It's a good thing I'm not paying for bandwidth :D

16 Dec: Eeek! Man, it's been a while! Sorry about that, but Real Life has been throwing me curveballs lately. Anyhoo, I'm working on new covers, so new material will start to creep back up once in a while :)

29 Jul: No updates in a while, I know. Sorry about that. I've been busy coding my ass off for another project I'm working on, as well as work and a bit or real life fun. More work than I can handle, but I actually like that :) I'll try and scrounge up something soon, I promise.

17 Jul:My allergies are driving me insane, but I'm still managing to work on covers. Let's hear it for Benadryl! Added what I consider to be one of my best covers so far in volume 4. I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's the May 2005 (Terrie Smith) issue; a retrospective on things past.

10 Jul:Added the Sabrina Mustelidae Spotlight Issue cover in volume 4, as well as the full-sized mosaic used to make the cover. It's in the download section, accompanied by two link icons that somebody asked for.

9 Jul:It's the Sheila Bonanza Day! The Feb 2004 cover is up, featuring the voluptuous vixen. The Sheila Vixen spotlight issue is also up. Go have a look in Volume 4. Go check out the download section for a surprise!

8 Jul: Hooah! Lots of new material in the pipeline. I'm starting a Spotlight Series of covers, featuring the most popular characters of the fandom. Expect to see Sheila Vixen, ZigZag and Sabrina, just for openers. I've also made a new section for downloads. You'll see why in a bit.

27 Jun: Dang, a month without an update. Bleargh. Real life is intruding again... Anyway. Rejoice, I bring news of new covers. The gNAW (Oct 2003) cover officially completes Volume 2, and a new cover from Max BlackRabbit (Nov 2004) brings me that much closer to finishing volume 3. That's all for now, but I'll try and increase the pace a bit :)

24 May: Woohoo! Just broke the 5000 visitor mark! This is a helluva lot more than I ever expected with this thing. Note that this is not a hit counter, but a visit counter (the difference being that a hit is any request to the server and a visit can generate a few dozen hits or more). You like me, you really like me :)

20 May: Real life news. I went to see Varekai, the latest show from Cirque Du Soleil. Strongly recommend you see it. Besides that, the Oct 2004 cover is up, based on work by Melissa O'Brien. We're nearing the 5000 session visit, oh yeah!

14 May: Woohoo! Two updates in two days, I'm on a roll! Added covers by Henry Sykes (Sep 2004) and by Chalosan (Jul 2004). Both original files were colored by Valorie Ruthe, a great artist and all-round nice person! Thanks to all of you who've submitted taglines. I've started using a few here and there. It's a good thing that I work for a company with a good network connection. The website is on my workstation and used up close to 2 GB of network traffic last month alone! Outstanding!

13 May: Another quickie. Changed some dates around. The Dec 2004 by Joe Randel is now the Dec 2003 cover - no biggie, but volume 2 is now one conver shy of completion! Posted the other cover by J.Randel. It's Jun 2004 - go see it!

7 May: OK, short update. Posted a new cover by Joe Randel (Dec 2004), and I already have his permission to post another cover I'm working on as soon as it's done. I had to toss a finished cover because the artist didn't want to be associated with Playfur. Eh, them's the breaks. More to come soon.

30 April 2002: Real life has been keeping me busy, so no new covers just yet. I have two almost done, and a few more in various stages of completion. As soon as I get a bit of free time, you can expect a bunch of them in a short while. As a teaser though, I received email from Style Wager, out of the blue. He sent me a really nice picture of Dela the Hooda, so go read the comic while you're waiting :)

15 April 2002: Thanks to all of you who submitted article titles. Some are really funny and you can expect some to be featured on the next covers that I'm dilligently working on. Keep 'em coming!

11 April 2002: Woohoo! 3 new covers for volume 3 by Heather 'Cybre' Wasneuski (March 2004), Kasedries (April 2004) and Henry Sykes (May 2004). Go see them!

9 April 2002: I've started a new volume of covers for the year 2004 (ok, so I'm a tad early). I couldn't help myself. After the whole "Penny Arcade" hubbub, I'm pleased to announce the addition of the Smouldering Jaguar Temptress XianJaguar cover (August 2004). Also, I'm going to try something out. I find that sometimes the most time-consuming part of creating a cover is finding inspiration for the witty remarks and article descriptions that need to be written on the covers. To that end, I'm adding a little script to the website that will allow you to submit taglines you might want to see. Credit will be given if your tagline is used. Try the script out here. Please play nice. The script is pretty bare bones but strong enough to prevent malicious use.

2 April 2002: Well, after 3 months of unanswered emails, I've given up on the Michelle Light (May 2002) and Jaguarundi (March 2002) covers and replaced them with covers by Max BlackRabbit and Jeremy Mullins. I'll still keep the old covers in the "pending" section if I'm ever able to reach both ladies. If anybody out there can get in touch with them, I'd greatly appreciate it :) I'm still waiting for a reply from Karabiner, but it's only been two weeks. Updated the link page.

19 Mar 2002: Added July 2003 (M. Giles) and September 2003 (D. Winger) covers in volume 2 section. Updated link page. Changed a bit of back-end code.

15 Mar 2002: Added May 2003 and June 2003 covers in volume 2 section. Cover for October 2003 is done and I'm waiting for approval by Karabiner. Added a link page.

13 Mar 2002: Added April 2003 cover in volume 2 section. Two more covers are in the pipeline. Still waiting to hear from Michelle Light and Jaguarundi:(

5 Mar 2002: Added September 2002, October 2002 covers in volume 1 section. Added March 2003 cover in volume 2 section. More news to come. More covers to come as I'm still waiting to hear from Michelle Light and Jaguarundi.

1 Mar 2002: Registered the domain playfur.ca and started switching to the new layout.
