I'm going to feel this one tomorrow

Posted on April 27, 2004 By admin 8 Comments on I'm going to feel this one tomorrow

Went to have a drink with [info]saucylaur, Sarah and Nathan tonight at my preferred watering hole. I got there a bit early and caught up on some reading. It's so funny, some people look at you weird when you read in a pub. Seriously, considering I've been going to Hurleys for longer than most of those people, I couldn't care less. When I ordered a pint of Bass, I got a warm feeling when the barmaid not only recognized me but told me I was here later than my usual time. Heehee, I'm a regular :D I learned something new too, her name is Dusty. I'm horrible with names, but I have a feeling I'll remember that one. She's cute, too :D

Had a fun evening. Laura and Sarah remind me a lot of the other dynamic duo (a.k.a. [info]eniran and [info]strychnyn), but a bit more tame (though it was a close match at some point). Nathan is a good guy, but the biggest flamer in the known universe :) Had many a laugh, shared some good stories. It really sucks that I've just gotten to know these people and both Sarah and Laura are graduating and moving to the US at the end of the week. It's probably more of a “so long” than a “goodbye”, as I've invited myself to go see them in Boston in the fall. Still, they're a fun bunch and I'm going to miss 'em.

You can never have too many friends.

On that note, I'm off to bed. It's 2AM and I'm an old man, so I'll be feeling this one tomorrow.

Dusty? The brunette upstairs? Crap! You were there on a Monday… was the cute girl working downstairs?

So it is the brunette upstairs… soon enough people will yell Richard when you walk in the door, like they did for Norm on Cheers.

did I say otherwise, about your fun and entertaining nature? As for being up and about, I'm at work, so you'll get no sympathy from me :)

Heh. No you did not. But for any skeptics out there, I thought I should confirm.

As for sympathy, I am deserving of a lot damn it. I am not MADE for the hours before 1200 pm.

Quote of the day

The one positive thing you could say about the bread products around him was that they were probably as edible now as they were on the day they were baked. *Forged* was a better term. Dwarf bread was made as a meal of last resort and also as a weapon and a currency. Dwarfs were not, as far as Vimes knew, religious in any way, but the way they thought about bread came close.
