Bright copper kettles and possums with mittens

Posted on May 19, 2004 By admin 4 Comments on Bright copper kettles and possums with mittens

It's official, I'm getting another tattoo. I've finally decided on the design idea, went to see Norm tonight and left a deposit. I left him a copy of the picture that gave me the original idea and he's going to redo it, with the few changes we discussed. It's gonna be niiice :D

I just realized that it's been close to 5 years since my first ink, and 3 since my second. About the right time for another one :P

And because [info]eniran left this meme in my head during the evening, I had to go look it up, or I'd have gone mad.

Les poissons, les poissons, how I love les poissons
Love to chop and to serve little fish
First I cut off their heads then I pull out the bones
Ah mais oui, ca c'est toujours delish
Les poissons, les poissons, hee hee hee, hon hon hon
With the cleaver I hack them in two
I pull out what's inside and I serve it up fried
God, I love little fishes, don't you?

Here's something for tempting the palate
Prepared in the classic technique
First you pound the fish flat with a mallet
Then you slash through the skin
Give the belly a slice
Then you rub some salt in
'Cause that makes it taste nice

(Zut alors, I have missed one!)

Sacre bleu, what is this? How on earth could I miss
Such a sweet little succulent crab?
Quel dommage! What a loss! Here we go in the sauce
Now some flour, I think, just a dab
Now I stuff you with bread, it don't hurt 'cause you're dead
And you're certainly lucky you are
'Cause it's gonna be hot in my big silver pot
Toodle loo mon poisson
Au revoir!

Oh, yay for tattoos! May I be so bold as to ask where you're gonna get it? I'm curious. :D

You may ask me anything you want, always, but I reserve the right now to answer :P

As for the tat, it's going to be on my back, between the shoulder blades, just below the neck.

Brutal… I didn't even know you had one tat. Or maybe I did… and I forgot. I'm seriously considering getting a third as well… I know the spot, I just haven't decided on the design. I think maybe I will go and talk to my friend that tattoo artist…

Not saying a word, but thinking *reeeeallllyyy* hard about it :P

You knew, because I'd shown them to you when we had dinner at Weintein's. Anyhoo, I'll post a picture of it when it's done – which should be sometime in the next few weeks. Norm – the tattoo artist – needs to do a bit of fiddling with the design, so he's going to give me a call when he has something to show me.

Quote of the day

The one positive thing you could say about the bread products around him was that they were probably as edible now as they were on the day they were baked. *Forged* was a better term. Dwarf bread was made as a meal of last resort and also as a weapon and a currency. Dwarfs were not, as far as Vimes knew, religious in any way, but the way they thought about bread came close.
