Need your input – please comment!

As you might or might not know, I'm getting another tattoo done fairly soon. The design is almost final and I just received the latest draft from the guy who's going to be doing my ink.

The design:

There's just one detail that's still bothering me. Please have a look at the image below and tell me which version you prefer: the original one, or the one I modified in photoshop.

The differences are subtle, but they're there.
I added an iris to the eye, thinned out the mouth line
and smoothed out some of the muzzle curves.
I think it gives the overall face a much more
serene look, which is what I'm aiming for.

Your comments are much appreciated :)

Looks good. As for the differences, they're subtle but if it bothers you then ask for the modifications you made. It wouldn't have occured to me so in the end it's just a personal preference for you. Unmodified looks fine, but it's your tat in the end.

I have to agree here. The changes aren't very noticable, but if it's what you want, go for it.

Yes, those are very small changes. That said, I'd go with the second one. The expression on the first one is a bit blank. The modified design looks softer, gentler. I'm not sure how helpful that is but you did ask for opinions. ;D

Quote of the day

I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
