Good thing done

Posted on June 30, 2004 By admin 2 Comments on Good thing done

With all the LJ weirdness going on in the last few weeks, I realized that I hadn't backed up my blog for the longest time. I know I've only had it since november of 2003, but I've come to realize that I have a whole lot of myself in these pages and I'm not keen on the idea of losing them if the DB goes belly up.

So now it's all tucked away on a CD-ROM and I'm a happy camper.

I use this. I've tried the perl version, and it works well. I haven't tried the .exe version, but it should work the same.

Quote of the day

Sam Vimes could parallel process. Most husbands can. They learn to follow their own line of thought while at the same time listening to what their wives say. And the listening is important, because at any time they could be challenged and must be ready to quote the last sentence in full. A vital additional skill is being able to scan the dialogue for telltale phrases such as "and they can deliver it tomorrow" or "so I've invited them for dinner?" or "they can do it in blue, really quite cheaply."
