I got my new passport today, huzzah!
I don’t look like a serial killer in it, huzzah! huzzah!!
Now I have to give it to the HR department, who will send it to the Home Office, where it will fester on the desk of some bored clerk for 6-to-8 weeks before he puts a stamp in it, with his ass, and it is shipped back to me.
I’m not really fussed about the waiting, as I have no travel plans in the immediate future, but I am annoyed that my passport is currently my only form of official photo identification.
Ah well, such is life.
