People never believe us

We were looking for Tolstoy last night and found him in Ben’s bed. He tends to go there when Ben’s away. There is a child size hole in all the crap in his bed. That’s all the space he has to sleep in. And not shown in this picture are polar bear and beaver (who are with him at scout camp), the two giant ikea sharks, snowman blanket from Scottsdales and the stuffed wolf we always think is a real dog from Smythes.

How best to describe the current situation in England

Posted on July 11, 2018 By admin

Trump is visiting, Brexit is a mess, Theresa May’s cabinet is in shambles, but England is in the semis of the world cup for the first time since 1990 so all is well.

You shall not leave

Pavel took offense at my early departure this morning and tried to hold my bag hostage. It didn’t work, and I got a truly grumpy mewl when I tried to move my bag strap from underneath him.

Someone somewhere has an interesting story

Posted on July 8, 2018July 9, 2018 By admin

On our way to drop Ben off at the train station this morning, we saw this. A shopping trolley and a bicycle. The bike was actually lying in a heap on its side. Five hours later, when we came home, it was still there, except now someone had straightened the bike. Realize though that the Migros is a good 10 minute walk away and this was left near a pretty busy roundabout.

When the child is away, the parents will play! Going to see Jurassic World. There’s a bit of a crowd for the Sunday matinée…

Quote of the day

No matter how fast light travels it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.
