You may live in Canada

Posted on January 2, 2013 By admin

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May,
You may live in Canada .

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don’t work there, You may live in Canada ..

If you’ve worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
You may live in Canada .

If you’ve had a lengthy telephone conversation With someone who dialed a wrong number, You may live in Canada .

Comment if you have any more :)

The pork has been pulled

Posted on January 1, 2013 By admin

From a 6.5 pound pork shoilder that slow cooked for 7 hours, only dregs remain. The bbq sauce was a bit of improv work, but it turned out very nice.

Office Christmas Party

Posted on December 17, 2012December 17, 2012 By admin

Katy and I invited the office bunch on Saturday for an informal xmas potluck. We discovered that 17 adults and 4 kids is pretty much the maximum that the house can fit, when the halls are fully decked. I hope that people had a good time. I know that there was plenty of food and booze, so that’s always a good place to start ;)

For those still present post-mayan apocalypse

Ahead of December 21, which marks the conclusion of the 5,125-year “Long Count” Mayan calendar, panic buying of candles and essentials has been reported in China and Russia, along with an explosion in sales of survival shelters in America. In France believers were preparing to converge on a mountain where they believe aliens will rescue them. Doomsday scenarios suggest that the date marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. They include the arrival of the next solar maximum, an interaction between Earth and the black hole at the center of the galaxy,or Earth’s collision with a planet called Nibiru.

Quote of the day

"Taxation, gentlemen, is very much like dairy farming. The task is to extract the maximum amount of milk with the minimum of moo. And I am afraid to say that these days all I get is moo."
