Cigarette advertising laws in Canada are just nuts. You can’t legally show any brand information beyond the brand name (in a standard typeface) and the packs are covered in YOU_WILL_DIE messages. It’s even on the cigarette filters. Every time I see shit like this, I think of Dennis Leary’s old comedy routine “I love to smoke”…
Nat’s cat was trying to helps me work this morning.
Don’t ask me how the conversation got there, but at one point we all got laughing about the weasel from an old Looney Tunes cartoon – to the point where my dad had to hold his chest surgery scar because it was hurting too much to laugh. Then he tried made an impression of it.
Classic.
That table hasn’t had that many people around it in a long time.

240g flour
50g brown sugar
160g molasses
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp salt
6g cacao
90g oil
180g Greek yogurt
1/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Zest of one orange
Combine wet ingredients in a stand mixer. Weigh out and combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine by mixing gently until shiny batter forms. Bake 175C for 45-50m or until cake tester comes out clean.
Byron clearly is a bread and cheese fiend. Makes it handy when I need to get him out to pee in the morning and he’s being a lazybones – I just need to rustle a cheese packet.
