Tag: cleaning is evil

finally, the mad cleaning rush is over!

Posted on December 17, 2005 By admin

All the bits and bobs have been cleaned, vacuumed, polished, de-moulded and put away. Most of the prezzies are wrapped, all the clothing is packed. We're ready to leave for Leicester, which means that we are officially on vacation. Give me a hoo-ah, please.

HOO-AH!

On another note, my paper has been accepted for review and is now being dissected by a peer in my field. Be nice folks :)

Housework sucks big sweaty donkey balls

Posted on December 10, 2005 By admin

So far today, I've washed dishes and cleaned up the whole kitchen, changed the bed linens and done laundry, tidied up the living room and sorted through the piles of paperwork on my desk, taken out the garbage and the recycling and gone to pick up Katy's prescription.

I'm fed up of cleaning, and there's still more to do as this is our last real weekend before we leave for canadia.

joy.

Not a bad day if I do say so myself!

Posted on December 5, 2005 By admin

Da-yum! I wish I had more days like this.

I had to work from home today because the car was being picked up to get a bit of bodywork. Because of office politics, it was easier for me to get the day off, so I was home all day. Surprisingly, I did actual productive work. That has to be a sign that you love your job when you're home and you actually work!

I resolved two bugs that were annoying the hell out of me and that means that my code is almost ready to get released into the wild. Once that happens, I can get some screenshots, polish off the paper and send it off for reviews prior to submission. This makes me happy.

The impressive thing is that between the brilliant coding/debugging (hehehe), I managed to do two loads of laundry, half a week's worth of washing up and I even took out the trash.

In other words, I rock!

Quote of the day

The one positive thing you could say about the bread products around him was that they were probably as edible now as they were on the day they were baked. *Forged* was a better term. Dwarf bread was made as a meal of last resort and also as a weapon and a currency. Dwarfs were not, as far as Vimes knew, religious in any way, but the way they thought about bread came close.
