Clear skies, full row of seats to myself, a chicken and bacon sandwich and Pink Floyd on my ipod. Not a bad way to travel.
Update : home now. I have been properly greeted, then told off, by the cats.

Notes from a bemused canuck
Auntie Nat comped us tickets to go see Kooza in Bern. It was Bean’s first show and he loved it :-) We went to see the bears in the old town, did a bit of window shopping, then went to the show. After that, we all had a late (in the case of Bean, very late) dinner at Da Carlo in Lausanne and headed home. All in all, a good but tiring day.

We were talking about local places to go sledding, a few days ago during lunch, when a co-worker mentioned that it was a very sensible to buy “breakdown” insurance if we were to rent a sled. He also mentioned that he’d purchased one a little while ago, but didn’t get the optional cowhide cushion on it.

Pimp my sled, indeed :)
The team went to lunch yesterday at Ko-An,a very nice sushi restaurant in Lutry, and then we went to the Alimentarium in Vevey for a Christmas chocolate workshop. The lunch service wasn’t all that fast, but the food was really, really good! Afterwards, we made a Christmas chocolate cottage. It was funny as anything to watch a bunch of adults in silly plastic aprons concentrating completely on trying to work chocolate. Even the workshop facilitator commented to his assistant how quiet everyone was :)
