This is how it’s done.
And now you know.
The beaver is a proud and noble animal
Notes from a bemused canuck
We went to the Chateau de Vullierens. They have 10 themed gardens, 72 sculptures and 30 hectares of grounds that can be visited. The old wine caves have also been recently renovated and are open for a visit. All in all, a nice day to spend a morning (if you can manage to have a non-grumpy child).

We all went out for a walk to see the potters at the tulip fest. The cold weather we had recently means that the tulips are a bit behind schedule for the flowering, but it was still a gorgeous day, if only slightly marred by the alternatively whiny and I-want-to-buy-this bean. We took a train to Lausanne to browse a few shops and then go to our favourite brasserie for dinner. Again, very civilised.
For the most part.
