Today has been a goof food day. It started with breakfast of eggs, “sausage” patties (ground pork with sage and onions, NUMMAY!) and roasted potatoes. Faffed around all morning with Katy, until we called Sara to go to Marche Jean-Talon to get some berries for the jam for a cheesecake I wanted to make. Had loads of fun walking around the market, bought WAY too much cheese, and then headed to loblaws to scare Katy with Sara-food-shopping goodness. It was marvelous. Between boob grabbing (fun to be had by all, on all), a one-sided snowball fight, Sara's cell phone ringing at butt (and boob) grabbing moments, magazine-licking and generally scaring the people around us, it has to rate highest on the shopping episodes.
Got home (after 3 tries to buy friggin oreo crumbs for a cake crust), started cooking like a madman while Sara and Katy cleaned up. Dinner consisted of honey-mustard glazed chicken, dijon mashed potatoes and brocoli and cauliflower topped with a cheddar and emental cream sauce.
And then there was cheesecake.
Life is good.
And throughout all of this food, I actually managed to lose weight…
