Gotta love Swiss French…

I got this email in my work inbox this morning. I could read the words, but had no clue whatsoever as to what it actually meant. This is not an uncommon occurrence.

For future reference, cuchaule is a brioche with saffron from Fribourg. The “moutarde de Bénichon” is more of a spicy, savoury jam than a mustard and the Bénichon itself is a traditional harvest feast where everyone eats and drinks too much.

Milk does a body good

London based photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz is known for taking high speed photography to the extreme. Jaroslav’s latest endeavor involves nostalgia, naked girls and some incredibly well executed high speed photographs of milk.

The project aims at creating a pin up calendar inspired by the popular pinup calendars of the 40’s and the 50’s. Only instead of clothing, the models are wearing milk. Milk frozen with high speed strobes.

While none of the milk is illustrated, it is created from layering splashes from hundreds of individual photographs. Each taken with (real) milk splashed across (real) bodies.
