I was going through some boxes at my parents, looking for some old stamp albums that I left here when I moved to the UK. I didn’t find all of what I was looking for, but I did find a duo of bottles of Bordeaux that McGill commissioned for the 175 anniversary of the university. They’ve spent close to the last 20 years packed away in my grandmother’s old trunk. I’m hoping they’re still good. Watch this space when I get back to Switzerland.

Welcome to Canada
Katy to my dad:
You give me drugs, you give me Wi-Fi password, you give me tea. You’re my favourite person ever!
Ear hair woes
Katy plucked a white ear hair. Jeebus. I have pubes shorter than that shit.
Happy birthday to me!
Katy and I met Michel for dinner and drinks tonight (well, technically yesterday by this point). We had a really good meal at Le pied de cochon. There was duck carpaccio, charcuterie, pig, pig, foie gras, more pig. And wine. Much wine (even if Katy got her glass nicked at some point). Then there was gin. And cigars. And whiskey. And more gin.
Katy’s possessed phone took a very representative picture of the evening.
It was good. I love my wifey, and I love my bro.
If you woo, I will swoon
A little woo gets a sway, a big woo gets a swoon. I need to get wooed before I will swoon.
Alright. I will let you know when I attempt a woo, but I expect swooning afterwards.
Actual pillow conversation this morning.
St-Hubert, tu me donnes le goût
Bobble goes to the circus
Bobble went to the Cirque du Soleil studio. He saw the new show being developed, but it’s all very hush hush, so he can’t talk about it except to say that it looks really cool and he can’t wait to see it when it goes on tour.
He even filled in on the CB while we had lunch. He’s a very helpful owl that one.
He even climbed up on an 80-foot high rigging grid above the main studios. Now granted, he’s an owl so heights don’t really faze him but it was impressive for the rest of us.
