Katy is sleeping in London tonight, in preparation for her 10k run tomorrow (have I mentioned how proud of her I am? Cause, dang, I’m proud of her!). Ben didn’t want me to get lonely, sleeping alone tonight. So this was his brilliant plan.
Damn bear is an even bigger bed hog than Katy is.
At least he won’t snore.
As a side note, Betsy is Katy’s bike :) The scary part is that Bean isn’t all that much too short to ride it.
Bobble and I just came out of a very important meeting today and are having a bit of decompression time at Starbucks. Tacky, maybe, but sometimes you just need to have a frappucino and a doughnut.

Katy is not, and hopefully never will be, a stick insect. She has curves, and those curves are getting more definition as her running progresses. Rawr!

Bean is in his usual weekend mood, averaging 1.3 whines(*) per minute (actual fact) and dragging his feet (literally) so that a 3 minute walk takes 3 times as long.
(*) his legs huuurt, he’s too waaaaarm, he’s getting weeeet, uuuungh, it’s not faaaair, stooooop it
Bean didn’t like anyone this morning. He didn’t like school. His hair was wet. His bag was heavy. He was too warm. Unnnngh. Not fair. All he wanted was to find a missing bit of lego (*), but nobody would help him. He was walking as fast as he could (**) but his legs were hurting.
And then a switch went click, he started talking about seed potatoes, and he was happy again.
Grief. If he’s like that at 7, we won’t survive 17.
(*) 5 minutes after we should have already left the flat.
(**) he would have been hard-pressed to keep up with a drunken sloth.
